Silk Painters International (SPIN) is a non-profit organization devoted to
promoting the art of silk painting and providing educational resources to silk
painters throughout the U.S. and abroad. It publishes "The Silkworm", networking
newsletter that serves all segments of the silk painting community-beginners,
painters, professionals, instructors and suppliers. Directed by Diane Tuckman
and Jan Janas, authors of The Complete Book on Silk Painting and other books
on the art form, the organization strives to make silk painting a recognized art
form by encouraging and promoting collecting, displaying and production of silk
art at the highest level.

The Washington Street Art Center (WSAC). WSAC, located at 321D Washington
Street in Somerville, MA, is a community arts center and word space run by
a collective of 22 artists. They offer gallery exhibitions, classes, open studios,
performances, annual events and more. This is where silk painter Nicole Donson

Somerville Open Studios. Each year, more than 200 of Somerville's most talents artists will open their studio door to the public.

Cabot After School, Inc. (CASP) offers a safe nurturing environment for
children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our staff strives to provide a sense
of community for children and their families and helps foster friendships in a
relaxed, fun, and structured program. CASP compliments the public school
learning experience by offering children plenty of physical exercise as well as
creative outlets in the arts.
